Fig & Fire was started to create safer self-care options that don’t contain harmful ingredients. We appreciate you inviting us into your home, and we want to give you the very best. That's why we spent two years in research and development before launching.
Founder and owner, Karen Larochelle, was shocked to discover how many toxins were in so many candles on the market and just how unregulated the fragrance industry was. She immediately threw out all the candles in her house and started on a mission to create candles she didn't have to think twice about breathing. The desire to create a better candle fueled two years of research and development to ensure an even burn, optimal fragrance release, and negligible amounts of non-toxic soot after burning. Fig & Fire started with candles and has grown from there!
The product line currently includes soy candles and wax melts, sugar scrubs, shower steamers, bath bombs, multi-purpose room sprays, and candle accessories. Each self-care item is handcrafted with the consumer's health in mind and features non-toxic, cruelty-free, and natural ingredients they can feel good about breathing in or putting on their skin.

Our Research & Development
A love of science and math, unrelenting persistence, and a desire to create a safer, better candle fueled two years of researching natural and non-toxic ingredients and then testing and re-testing candles to ensure an even burn, optimal fragrance release, and negligible amounts of non-toxic soot after burning.
When the wax, wick, container, scent, or concentration of the scent changes, it impacts how the candle burns, so testing is necessary to achieve the “perfect burn.” Ongoing quality assurance testing is conducted because changes in environmental factors can alter the performance of natural ingredients.
Creating products in small batches and routine performance testing enables Fig & Fire to maintain the exceptional quality for which the brand is known.
