Fig & Fire was born during one of life’s most challenging seasons. After a life-changing accident, its founder was forced to slow down, heal, and rediscover what it meant to move through the world with intention. In that quiet in-between, the transformative power of scent revealed itself. A single fragrance could anchor the spirit, stir comforting memories, and awaken joy in even the smallest moments.
What began as a simple ritual of creating natural, non-toxic scents that felt safe to breathe soon evolved into something much more. Fig & Fire emerged from that discovery, becoming a way to share the same sense of calm, groundedness, and hope that guided its beginnings.

Hi, I'm Karen, the heart and hands behind Fig & Fire.
This brand began as part of my own healing journey after a life-changing accident, when I started creating gentle, non-toxic scents that helped me feel safe, comforted, and hopeful again.
That journey eventually grew into something much bigger—a passion for creating thoughtfully formulated products that help others slow down, care for themselves, and feel at home in their everyday rituals.
When I'm not testing new ideas in the workshop, you'll find me spending time with my husband and son, enjoying quiet moments, or dreaming up what's next for Fig & Fire.

Our original candles alone required more than two years of research and development to achieve the clean burn, excellent fragrance throw, and minimal soot they're known for today.
And the work never stops.
Whenever an ingredient, wax, wick, scent concentration, container, or formula changes, testing starts again.
